How long is my alert data kept, and where is it stored?
You choose the retention window yourself: 30, 90, or 365 days as a self-service tier, with data purging automatically once the window closes. If you need longer for an audit trail, up to 5 years can be arranged. Everything lives on the EU edge by architecture — Cloudflare Durable Objects pinned to EU jurisdiction — so it isn't stored outside the EU as a side effect of infrastructure choice.

Yes — retention is a self-service setting, not a one-time signup choice, so you can move between the 30/90/365-day tiers as your needs change.
Does a shorter retention window weaken my audit trail?
Not for compliance frameworks that only require a working retention policy — 30/90/365 days is built to match common alert/reply-log retention needs. If your audit requirements need longer, the extended (up to 5-year) tier is there specifically for that case.
